You may visit the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory which is about a 10-minute walk from Forres Park. This is one of the oldest surviving blue mountain coffee processing plants. The production of the world's finest coffee requires beans grown in a micro climate, peculiar to these mountains. It requires careful processing to enhance its unique flavour.

The Mavis Bank Coffee Factory will introduce you to the intricacies of the process, and just in case you wish to stay and farm, we will try to arrange a plantation for you.

Waterfalls Tour

Take a four wheel drive mountain transport to Abbey Green Coffee Plantation, the highest point at which coffee is grown in the island. There you will pass waterfalls and look out for rare bird species found only at the 5,000 plus feet altitude.

Drive or take our tour to Flamstead lookout, to see Port Royal across Kingston. Recently subdivided into residential lots, Flamstead was historically used for just that purpose. A search of the subdivision will find the ruins of Lord Nelson's house and you will be able to see at least 6 of our parishes from the property plus our beautiful Chatsworth Coffee Farm topped by Lord Derby's Peak.

Coffee Farm and Factory Tour

If you love authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, then you will be fascinated when you see it grow right outside your door. The tour of the coffee farm will introduce you to the process of the picking the coffee and also the variety of other herbs and vegetables grown on the farm. Travel on to the coffee factory and see the whole coffee making process in action in one of the oldest surviving blue mountain coffee processing plants.

The recommend tour leaves Forres Park at around 9.00am, Accessed only by a four-wheel drive vehicle and more safely reached by abandoning the vehicle on the main road and taking a steep hike, at a leisurely pace. you will leave the vehicle and start your hike by about 10am. The climb often takes you into the clouds and through amazing vistas and changing flora.
